“The end of laughter and soft lies.”

Written and Directed by Shani G.

What’s it about? Revenge, conflict and redemption.

The story begins in the aftermath of a two-car collision. Harper, a passenger in one car, is cut and bruised but alive. Beside her, Pal Singh, her beloved husband of 33 years, lies dead.

Sebastian, the driver of the other car, is unmoved by the tragedy. He finds the situation funny. Hilarious.

At his trial, Sebastian’s defence is that he has Dissociative Identity Disorder. DID. Or split personality. It could have been any one of the seven beings (seven deadly sins) that inhabit his psyche who was driving at the time of the accident.

Is he faking? Is he just a clever con man? Or is he something more sinister?

Sebastian is sentenced to five years in a psychiatric institution, but is released in two.

Harper and her daughter, Megan, kidnap him so they can hold their own trial, so justice can be served, only to find that Sebastian is not who he seems. And the torment has just begun.

Balhar Films Ltd. has produced a surreal suspense horror, for thrill-seekers, a tribute to David Lynch and M. Night Shyamalan, about a splintered, vengeful family and a relentless, demonic antagonist.

Shot in widescreen anamorphic with 5.1 sound inside an old, rambling house, with an unsettling use of silence and powerful themes of psychological conditions, Ride the Snake is emotionally charged, visually fascinating and full of unforgettable characters.
